Connecting communities with work opportunities

The growth of the renewable energy industry creates new and exciting opportunities to foster genuine employment pathways and economic capacity. In delivering the Maryvale Solar & Energy Storage Project, the team will look to draw on the skill and know-how of local and regional people and businesses.

In August, Gentari and PCL Construction’s Solar Division held a job fair in Wellington and Dubbo, NSW. The sessions were also attended by project subcontractors Stralis Energy, All Energy Australia, and United Civil.

“It’s always exciting to talk about the Maryvale Solar & Energy Storage Project and to highlight the many different opportunities available”, said Patricio Munoz (Community Engagement Manager, Gentari). “We’re fortunate to be working with a range of construction partners that are experienced, accessible, and committed to creating genuine partnerships with the community”.

The job fair provided interested community members with the opportunity to learn more about the project, connect with key project staff, and to register their interest for future roles. The event also served to highlight the skill and capacity within the region.

“With construction recently kicking off, now is the time to reach out”, said Patricio. “There will be many different types of roles available, including administrative, electrical, general labour, operator, and logistics opportunities”.

Construction of the project commenced in late July 2025 and will bring direct and indirect community benefits. This includes up to 360 jobs during the peak of construction.
